The team of the <strong>Science, Communication and Society Studies Centre<\/strong> of the Pompeu Fabra University (<a href=\"http:\/\/ccs.upf.edu\/\">CCS-UPF<\/a>) have leaded the constitution of a <strong>database of inspiring practices<\/strong> on engaging scientists and communicators with science communication.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The initiatives constituting the CONCISE database serve as inspiration to implement similar actions. They also aim <strong>to solve <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/concise-h2020.eu\/barriers-science-communication\/\"><strong>barriers that researchers and professional communicators face<\/strong><\/a> to get engaged in science communication. To promote this, we identified <strong>5 different categories<\/strong> and established <a href=\"https:\/\/concise-h2020.eu\/database\/\"><strong>the final CONCISE database<\/strong><\/a><strong>\u00a0 with 25 inspiring practices<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1040\" src=\"https:\/\/concise-h2020.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/concise-db2.jpg\" alt=\"Concise database diagram\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/concise-h2020.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/concise-db2.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/concise-h2020.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/concise-db2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/concise-h2020.eu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/concise-db2-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Figure 1. Overview of the five CONCISE database categories<\/p>\n<p>The CONCISE database is not an exhaustive list of practices, nor do we intend to compile all the current initiatives of this type.
